Thom Humphreys

Thom’s journey to long-form storytelling started in the world of short-form where he honed his craft through award-winning music videos, TV commercials (including a worldwide Guinness ad), and numerous documentary shorts; from the downright weird to hard-hitting stories from around the globe. His first long-form project, for Nat Geo, was twice reviewed as the best shark show that year. Ranking highly in the US and UK. He has since gone on to work with several major broadcasters.

Being able to draw from a range of experiences, in various formats, gives him an edge when first approaching a scene. He is logical and meticulously organised, but also playfully minded, which allows him to think outside the box. Through his natural storytelling abilities, he is able to grasp complex subjects – identifying threads and quirks – while piecing them together to make compelling content. He also loves collaborating with directors to bring the best out of a story, all with that little added visual oomph. With his expertise across formats, Thom is a great choice for both long and short-form projects.
